This meditation deals with purification and healing, and is taken from the original teaching of the Medicine Buddha.  The causes of our physical and mental problems are related to the mind. The root cause is ignorance, and the other afflicting emotions arise from that base… So it is important to work with our mind in order to improve our situation.
